2027: You ran away from PDP to form dangerous AD camp – Tinubu mocks Atiku
President Bola Tinubu on Friday mocked the African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, stressing that he ran away from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to form what he called a dangerous AD camp.
Tinubu asked if Atiku has the leadership traits and character to rule Nigeria after he dumped the PDP, where he grew from a baby into a father due to little inconveniences.
Speaking during his presidential campaign rally in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, Tinubu cautioned Nigerians against voting for Atiku.
The president also appealed to the people of the state to collect their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, ahead of the 2027 elections.
He said: "Akwa Ibom, I love you; I will sleep here tonight, have a presidential sleep and dream. Please, I'm begging you, go and collect your PVCs and vote for the sake of your future.
"I promise you a better future; I promise you development, I promise you education, skills development, I promise you jobs; we are going to plant a lot of economic trees.
"There is no reason why Akwa Ibom can't use the value of palm trees and the palms here. There is no reason that we can't create developmental skills that are enduring and lasting.
"If a man who, once upon a time, was the baby of PDP, became a father of PDP, and because of a little inconvenience, ran away from that party and formed a dangerous AD camp in another party, is that a leadership trait? Is that a leadership character? And he wants you to vote for him? It's not for Banana."
