EPL table: Man City go three points clear at top with 1-0 win over Coventry
Manchester City have opened a three-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, following a narrow 1-0 victory over Coventry City on Saturday afternoon.
The result also means Enzo Maresca’s men remain perfect after three fixtures this campaign.
City dominated the newly-promoted team, but they could only score one goal and it came in the first half.
Antoine Semenyo escaped down the right and crossed the ball for Erling Haaland to head home.
City are now three points ahead of both Arsenal (second) and Chelsea (fourth) who face off at the Emirates on Sunday.
Their next game will be against Manchester United at Old Trafford next Sunday.
