Trans woman jailed after falsely accusing six men of rape in UK

A 26-year-old transgender woman, Khloe Simmonds, has been jailed after falsely accusing six men of rape in a series of claims made over seven years in the UK.

Simmonds was sentenced on Monday, September 7, 2026, at Harrow Crown Court to seven-and-a-half years in prison after admitting eight counts of perverting the course of justice.

The court heard that she made at least 12 false claims between July 2018 and January 2026, resulting in several men being detained before they were later released.

The judge described the allegations as a “sustained pattern of conduct” and said the claims had diverted police from investigating “genuine victims of serious crime”.

In one case, Simmonds accused an Afghan man of raping her at knifepoint, he was arrested and spent 88 days under investigation before the allegation was found to be false.

The man said Simmonds had made advances towards him, which he rejected.

In another case, a chef she met on Grindr went to her flat but left after becoming uncomfortable.

Simmonds later called 999 and accused him of raping her after putting something in her drink.

The man was arrested at home and spent 20 hours at a police station.

Simmonds also accused a taxi driver of rape after taking a taxi home from a date.

However, GPS data showed that the vehicle never stopped and had not travelled below 25mph.

She was later arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of public justice and admitted that the allegations were false.

Defence solicitor Dominic Benthall said Simmonds had autism, ADHD and alcohol dependency issues.

“There is plainly, or was plainly, at the time an underlying mental health difficulty,” he said.

Simmonds watched the beginning of her sentencing through a video link from Wormwood Scrubs men’s prison in London before returning to her cell and refusing to attend the rest of the hearing.
