Nigerian TV host Morayo Afolabi-Brown has reacted to the tragic murder of a 15-year-old Ghanaian boy that was killed in the United States after allegedly being bullied.

The media personality warned parents against sending emotionally immature teenagers abroad for high school. She recalled her experience with being bullied while schooling in the United States at the age of 15.

Morayo claimed she was targeted by students because of her ethnicity. She added that the said bullies put dirty items in her locker and pushed her during morning sports activities.

Morayo also explained that she did not report the incidents because she was new to the school and wanted to fit in, adding that some students repeatedly made her feel she did not belong. She urged parents to ensure their children are emotionally mature and properly guided before sending them abroad for secondary education.

“University abroad is fine, but high school can be treacherous,” she said.
